Crackle Jacks
This recipe is from my friend, Kathy Murphy. It's low fat (non-fat if skipping the peanuts) and lower sugar but still very tasty and my kids liked it! I'll stop buying the microwave popcorn and start making this. It also kept well over several days.
Crackle Jacks
Big Bowl of Popcorn
3 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a small bowl, combine egg whites, sugar, cinnamon.
Toss over popcorn and peanuts, if using.
Spread out evenly on large cookie sheet.
Bake for about 10 minutes but watch it closely so the popcorn doesn't burn.
Enjoy. Store left overs in airtight containers.
