Creamy Tomato Sauce
Recently, we tried polenta. The polenta wasn't a hit but the sauce was. I look forward to making it again soon and use it over penne with some turkey sausage or ground beef.
Creamy Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup minced onion
1-2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 cup white wine
3 Tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 Tbsp. cream
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Saute onion in olive oil over medium heat until onions are translucent.
Add garlic and saute 1 minute more.
Stir in wine, tomato paste and chicken broth.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in cream, salt and pepper to taste.
Pour over pasta, polenta, etc. and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
