Slow Cooker Flank Steak
Thanks to a couple of generous friends, our freezer has been full of grass fed beef. Recently, I tried this recipe. I was told that I must make it again.
Slow Cooker Flank Steak
1 (1 1/2 lb.) flank steak, cut in half
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 large onion, sliced
1/3 cup water
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
1 1/4 tsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
In a skillet, brown the steak in the oil; transfer to slow cooker.
In the same skillet, saute the onion until translucent; add garlic and saute about 1 minute.
Gradually add water and stir to remove any browned bits from the pan for added flavor.
Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.
Pour over the flank steak.
Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
Serve over rice, noodles or potatoes.
