Fruit Cocktail Cake
This is a quick and easy cake that is also a kid favorite.
Fruit Cocktail Cake
1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 egg, beaten
1--14 to 15 oz can fruit cocktail, with juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend flour, sugar, salt and soda.
Add beaten egg, fruit cocktail with juice and vanilla.
Mix and pour into greased and floured 9" x 13" pan.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped nuts.
Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean.
