Easy Granola Bars
These are a bit sweet and not as healthy sounding as some recipes. They are tasty and easy.
3 cups quick cooking oats
1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup minature semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries.
(You can substitute regular chocolate chips and leave out the dried fruit or use something else yummy.)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9" x 13" pan
In large bowl, mix together the oats, sweetened condensed milk, butter, coconut, almonds, etc. with your hands until well blended. Press flat into prepared pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, depending on how crunchy you want them. Lightly browned around the edges will give you a moister bar. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes, cut into squares and let cool completely before serving.
